El sentir de lo blanco (The Feeling of Whiteness)
Man lives in the permanent search for an ideal state that will bring him peace and equilibrium. It’s both a physical and spiritual search. In order to do this he resorts to religion, meditation and love, or enters the world of music, poetry and painting. It is through these diverse practices that he seeks to arrive to the essence of his being and of the nature that surrounds him.
Danilo Rojas also does this, manifesting his search through his paintings. Through them, Rojas invites the observer to meditate: to listen to the silence, to feel the energy, to see the pure and white light that man and nature carry within. All of this is expressed through his subtle and fluid brushwork, set in motion by emotions. These brushstrokes create balanced compositions that resemble organic shapes and on occasion, erotic ones; forms that seek to express the energies and essence of nature and love. White is always present in Danilo Rojas’ work, it evokes the all and nothing of being, the purity and the perfection of man and nature; it’s a space for introspection, a breath for rest. Danilo Rojas’ work is subtle, beautiful, poetic, and invites the spectator into its tiny spaces, offering a moment of reflection and tranquility.
